Leisure Isle Resident’s Association Committee
The Leisure Isle Residents’ Association (LIRA) is a voluntary organization supported by a majority of residents and homeowners. Established in 2000, LIRA ensures that the Island’s natural heritage is nurtured, that the area is peaceful and secure, and that collaborative relationships are maintained with the Municipality and other authorities and stakeholders.
The LIRA Committee is elected at the AGM in December, and manages the Island’s affairs in terms of the LIRA Constitution. The committee comprises a Chair, Deputy, Treasurer, and holder of various portfolios: Membership, Security, Communications, Social, Infrastructure and Environment, Steenbok Reserve. An Administrator assists with general affairs, and a bookkeeper manages invoicing.
