Leisure Isle Boat Club (LIBC) - 044 384 0825 -

The picturesque Peter Gordon small boat harbour is home to the Leisure Isle Boat Club (LIBC), founded in about 1990. The original harbour was built in 1992 and extended in 2004.

The club’s facilities allow members to launch, moor and store their small boats and trailers in a secure environment, and are also much used by visitors and the public.

LIBC can only accommodate small boats, less than 6,1m in length, a beam of less than 2,4m and a draught not more than 0,6m. A limited number of boats up to 6,4m in length may be accommodated with special permission.

There are approximately 250 privately-owned, individual walk-on moorings in the harbour and a similar number of trailer parking bays, all of which are for use by LIBC members and temporary members only.

There is also limited storage capacity for paddle craft (canoes and kayaks).

Subject to availability, moorings are usually available to rent on a short or long-term basis, with a high demand for rental berths during the December holiday period.

Visitors are welcome and may launch their boats at the public slipway for a daily fee; alternatively visitors may join as Temporary Members on a weekly or monthly basis.
